Art Institute LionWhile these sculptures protecting the famous Art Institute of Chicago Museum is iconic for most, I have a particular connection to the image. Growing up my dad and I took many trips to the museum while playing hooky from school. He introduced me to the importance of self-expression through fine art. Years later, I was lucky enough to graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a Masters of Art in Art Therapy.

EL Train Version TwoThe elevated train lines are a Chicago staple. I once has a client state "I never knew my commute on the train could be represented with such character." For me, the EL steals the show when it comes to Chicago icons. Not to mention, the experience really activates all of your senses. This was created after a client saw an EL Painting, but had a particular color scheme in mind. I love to assist art collectors in having a hand in creating their one-of-a-kind pieces their own.
Ferris Wheel
Ferris WheelOf course, the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier cannot be left out of a Chicago collection. I have had many requests for this piece as anniversary gifts to commemorate the date of proposal. Personally, this is one of my favorite paintings because the Hancock building stands strong in the background bringing the composition to a unique conclusion. 
The Bean
The BeanMost viewers are unaware that the title "The Bean" was assigned by Chicagoans and tourists. The artist, Anish Kapoor, titled this work Could Gate. Staring into the reflection, it is clear why. The clouds that shift above and around the architectural landscape are fascinating. A must visit for anyone traveling through.

Bean Version 4I can't help it, the bean is such a fun image to create. I've added multiple versions, not only because I love each of them, but to show how original artwork shifts over time. Not one piece is alike.

Chicago TheaterI'm sure anyone who has visited or lived in Chicago has admired the electrifying view of the Chicago Theater at night. This piece holds extra meaning for me, seeing as it is where my sister and brother-in-law celebrated their engagement. I've recreated this image many times with various color schemes and each one represents a different personification of the landmark.

House of BluesWhat an amazing building to represent. I especially love the juxtaposition of the famous Blues icon against the other unique architectural buildings it sits around.

Marshall Field's ClockSeeing as my sister once mistook my mother for working at Marshall Fields due to our frequent visits growing up, this is a particularly famous icon in our family. If you loved Marshall Fields, you know what I'm talking about.

Buckingham Fountain
Buckingham FountainIf you haven't been to this incredible spot, stop what you are doing right now and head over. The fountain is a landmark that captures the chaotic flow of Chicago's environment through the multiple fountains within the sculpture and amazing way the lighting illuminate the fine detail in the work.

Wrigley FieldWhile I grew up on the South Side of Chicago, no one can deny the historic meaning of Wrigley Field. With the recent win, it is an especially popular piece to remind other cities of the spirit of Chicago.

Chicago RiverYes, I am titling this piece Chicago River rather than focusing specifically on Trump Tower. Despite political views, this view of Chicago when driving down Lakeshore Drive is breathtaking.
